Flåm is a village in Flåmsdalen, at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjorden — a branch of Sognefjorden. The village is located in the municipality of Aurland in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. Beautiful Flåm is situated in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the 205 kilometres long and up to 4,291 ft deep Sognefjord. In Flåm there is a variety of different types of accommodation, from top of the range tourist hotels to cabins, holiday apartments youth hostel and camp sites. Flåm is located in the heart of Western Norway, easily accessible by car, bus, boat or train. The Flåm Railway takes you to a panorama view of the fjords and mountains in the area. From Flåm you can explore the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord. Flåm is also perfect for hiking and cycling. Visited in Nov 2015 and just fell in love with this place!
