Malaysia - Tioman Island

My first visit to Tioman island for diving was in October 2010 and the second one in April 2016. Tioman Island is a small island located 32 km off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Pahang, and is some 39 km long and 12 km wide. It has eight main villages, the largest and most populous being Kampung Tekek in the north. The densely forested island is sparsely inhabited, and is surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a popular scuba diving spot. Over 20 dive sites offer the chance to dive amongst beautiful coral gardens, tropical reef fish, turtles, sharks, cuttlefish and nudibranch. The region is renowned as one of the best macro diving spots in the world. Selecting the right dive center is very important here as I found on my first visit that some are not so professional. I would recommend B&J Diving Center.
