Sollihøgda is a village in the county of Buskerud, Norway. The village is a popular base for skiing at Krokskogen and in Vestmarka. The forest around are ideal for trekking and camping. You can book a self service cabin to stay overnight in the forest e.g. the cabin Mustadkroken is beautifully situated on the top of a hill. It has 6 bedrooms and 24 beds and is only open for groups. An overnight stay has to be booked in advance. All the unstaffed DNT cabins are closed with the standard DNT key. To get the key a membership in DNT (Norwegian Trekking Association) is required. The cabins have pillows, quilts and wool blankets though guests must bring their own sheets or sleeping bags. Visited the place in October 2015 and after the days trek enjoyed the Norwegian hospitality at a dinner hosted by local friends.
