Europe - Indoor Diving

Post by K.Haroon » Tue Oct 09, 2018 11:56 am

If you are living inland and want to practice/refresh your diving skills or test equipment you should be searching for indoor diving facilities near your whereabouts. Perhaps not very common everywhere but some places have these facilities. I can share info for two places I have been to. In June 2011 went to Rheinbach - Germany and visited this place called Monte Mare a suana and wellness paradise which had an indoor diving center. 200 square meters of water surface and 10 meters depth. Cave and cave labyrinth, bubbling underwater volcanoes, a sunken boat wreck, submersible vertical tube system.

The other place was in Leeds UK which I discovered in October 2010. The dive center Diving Leisure over there had made arrangements with some sports center that would allow divers to use their deep diving pool for scuba diving (I think once a week on Fridays). Nothing like Monte Mare (mentioned above) but at least something for those living inland.
