Phandar Valley - Pakistan

Phandar Valley is situated, in District Ghizer of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is about 177 kms away from Gilgit. I visited this place in July 2006 while heading towards Shandur to see the polo matches. A twisting road passing through lush green fields and forests with a view of flowing river and mountain peaks is what you see while going from Gilgit to Phandar. June and July is the best time to visit this valley. Days are fair and warm and nights are a bit cold. There is a PTDC motel over there too. The view of Phandar Lake is great and it abounds in trout.
